How do I commission you to make a painting just for my home or office?

I really enjoy doing commission work-it’s such a personal way to create art for my collectors!

Every commission begins with a phone consultation so I can get to know my collectors and their taste in art. After our conversation, I will need the following to start your project:

1. Review my Instagram account and my website. Make a list of 3-5 pieces that speak to you and why. Also, tell me what you don’t like; colors, shapes, textures, etc.

2. Give me an idea of your general color scheme.

3. What is the feeling you want your new art to convey?

4. Send me a few photos of the room and location where the painting will hang.

5. What are the measurements of the wall where you will hang the painting?

What is the next step after I give you all my information?

Once I gather all your information, I will put together a cost estimate for the painting with shipping, and taxes (if applicable), a schedule, and a commission contract. I require a 25% deposit to begin the work; the balance is due upon completion. 

How long will it take to finish my painting?

This depends on the size and my studio schedule; I always strive to accommodate my clients’ timeframe. 

How will you deliver the painting to me?

I use several companies that are experienced in shipping fine art. It will depend on your location and the size and weight of the piece to determine the appropriate shipping company. 

What if I don’t like the painting?

I want you to love the art that I make for you! With every commission, I make two paintings within your specifications. You then choose which one you want to keep. 

Rest assured that I hold myself to very high standards and am committed to maintaining exceptional quality in all my paintings. Nothing leaves my studio until I am 100% satisfied. You have to love it…and so do I!
