All summer has gone by without a single entry…I worry about abandoning my blog. I dared myself not to do that. However, life gets in the way. kids out of school for summer..and somehow with limited hours in the day we are forced to prioritize.
ArtWalk is a fun art festival in San Diego’s Little Italy. The atmosphere, the food and the art are all wonderful. I’ll be sharing 3 booths with my fellow art6-ers. I have been busy making monotypes and painting small format. My new paintings are collaged monotypes on wood panels mixed with pastels, pencil and acrylics. I think in some ways blogging is like exercise. When you do it often, you crave it, you do well and feel great. However, if you slow down the routine, it is quite difficult to pick it up again. You think about it, you want to do it, but you can’t seem to get started again. Let’s try it:

I decided that the name and content of my new series of paintings had to be somehow related, to love, sex, passion, friendship, sex, love, dagger-through-the-heart type feelings…
