Today I make a commitment to take a photo a day for 365 days. Not necessarily a self portrait like I did last year maybe some of those, but just a photo. One. It could be of anything at all, but hopefully it will be somehow a journal of my year (as if I need anything else to document my crazyness , i.e. this blog.) I will explore color and composition and light, myself, my family, my surroundings… anything really. Learn. Just shoot.
I need to say though that I may flake out some days, that I may not finish it, that I may take shitty pictures on other days, but I will give it a go none the less. Hopefully I will learn more about photography like I have been, I will force myself to get out and shoot and it will help me with my paintings and what inspires me.
I feel like I’m starting a new stage. Bringing my studio home, represented by a great gallery in PA (Three Ravens Gallery) thinking of a new series, change. Change is good. New ventures, new commitments, new inspiration, without letting go of what is close to my heart.
I will not post most of them here, but they will be on flickr…you can check it out there.

It took you a little longer than I expected, but I knew you couldn’t resist.

Not really Brad. It’s very different than a self portrait 365. it is!! it is so!.
can’t wait to see the rest…. I was just looking at your 365 shots, and some of them are amazing, really kick-ass. How did you get so good? Isabel is inspired too- she wants to start a series of photos starting on her 13th birthday. Awesome that you can inspire a pre-teen
