So I guess as a blogger I am, as my kids say, and “epic fail.” but I’m not ready to give it all up completely. I will not accept the “epic fail” title just yet. Let’s just call me a “sporadic blogger” VERY” sporadic”
My friend Kelly started a blog and that reminded me that I have this one. (go visit her) For the Q&A page I started what seems a gazillion years ago… When you start to paint a piece, do you have images or ideas in your head of what you want it to look like or does it just develop on it’s own? I’m thinking all day. I think about paintings, and techniques, and colors, sizes, compositions. ALL.DAY.LONG. sometimes I wake [...]
All summer has gone by without a single entry…I worry about abandoning my blog. I dared myself not to do that. However, life gets in the way. kids out of school for summer..and somehow with limited hours in the day we are forced to prioritize.
I am going to start by doing a FAQ (frequently asked questions…for those of you who were “huh?”) page about my art, but for that I need your help, and I want to make it fun, so here is the deal. I am looking for a total of about 20 that I will use, so your chances for the painting are pretty damn good…If you think of a good question, that is.
swoooosh…did you see that? that’s time
It just flies, and before I know it, it’s been 2 weeks since my last post, since Artwalk, and too many things are going on.
ArtWalk is a fun art festival in San Diego’s Little Italy. The atmosphere, the food and the art are all wonderful. I’ll be sharing 3 booths with my fellow art6-ers. I have been busy making monotypes and painting small format. My new paintings are collaged monotypes on wood panels mixed with pastels, pencil and acrylics. They are generally small paintings and can hang as a series of 2, 3 or 4 (or more) as well as just by themselves. ArtWalk [...]
I think in some ways blogging is like exercise. When you do it often, you crave it, you do well and feel great. However, if you slow down the routine, it is quite difficult to pick it up again. You think about it, you want to do it, but you can’t seem to get started again. Let’s try it:
It’s been 18 days since my last post for no apparent reason, except the fact that I am completely overwhelmed. My house is still being attacked by bins and boxes with toys and art supplies and office stuff. The happy day where each thing walks itself into their new location has not arrived. It’s been slow, but I’m at the tail end of it. I should have my studio up and running by next week. I haven’t painted since before [...]
PMS? what? do we really need an excuse to be bitchy? No, I’m not PMSing…(I don’t think) and this is how I am. I embrace it today.
For $20 you’ll get a chance to own all six paintings valued at over $1500. And for $100 you’ll get six tickets; that’s one free ticket. Pretty tempting, huh?
