Getting down to the wire.

We ,art6 hang the TEMPTATION6 show on Monday Feb 8th. The show will run from Feb. 9th to Feb 16th.

It is a Valentine’s theme show and we have each put our spin on the theme of love, heartbreak, passion and seduction, along with all the other things related to that abstract thing we call LOVE.

The Opening Reception is on February 12th from 6-9pm. There will be wine, and chocolate and music and great art from 6 pretty amazing women (yes, I included myself. hee hee) at India Street Gallery in San Diego. If you are in town or in the surrounding cites, try to make it.

I have completed 11 of 13 paintings for this show. The series, as most of you know is called SECRETS (you can see them HERE) and 10 “love tokens”

“love tokens” are small, affordable 5″x5″ mini paintings that will be available for purchase and to take home during the reception.

Funny, but I was having a hard time painting those, I found myself frustrated, painting over them continuously. So frustrated that secretly I started calling them “little beasts” constantly in battle with me…that is until…I picked one up while wearing my reading glasses and realized that THAT was the problem! they did not look good before because they looked blurry! needless to say, the were converted from fierce “little beasts” into “love tokens” once I realized I needed to paint those wearing my oh-my-god-I’m-old-and-needing-reading-glasses glasses. *sigh*
